Flying into Cusco....

Flying into Cusco is quite spectacular - a sight that I missed out on with my first flights in and out as it was cloudy and visibility was very poor....

On the trip in from Lima we fly over some spectacular landscapes... 

Then as we come in to land we circle around the mountains and descend into the valley in which Cucso is situated (with mountains close on both sides or the plane)

Finally we land at the airstrip which is in the midst of Cusco - it's surrounded by houses.

It's difficult to describe but spectacular to see!!
