A Short Blogoliday...

CIMG7532

I've taken a short blogoliday whilst I moved house and enjoy my Mum's company...

Mum has returned home to sunny (and warm) Queensland this morning,

I have really enjoyed her visit and having her help to make my little flat feel like a home.  Each day I'd come home and she had sorted an area, tidied another and last night had the house smelling yummy and pulled out a tray of fresh muffins when I walked in.  We've eaten delicious dinners both at home and out - visiting so that Mum could meet my friends who are great company and great help when I need it (whether it be moving house or a shoulder to cry on or simply company and a laugh)... We've shopped in the best way possible - without spending too much - and have explored my new surrounds... We've played scrabble and shared sudoku puzzles...

It was great having you here Mum and I can't wait for your next visit!!!!! :)

While I continue to 'settle-in' to my new home and get used to living there without Mum's company, I leave you with my latest motivational quote...

"You can never go back and start a new beginning,
but you can always start now and make a new ending"

Good luck with the settling in. It was nice that your mum could come and help. Hopefully you can get to all your lovely crafty stuff now!

It really was just good timing... she had a holiday booked to visit me and it turned out that I moved into my new flat 2 days after she arrived!!! Couldn't have planned it better if we tried!!

I'm getting to the craft-stash... at the moment most of it is still stashed in it's packing boxes in the (very useful) storeroom, but one-by-one they are being emptied and homes found for things.... The craft-stash is last, but I should enjoy setting up. Now if I can just find a cheap table for my sewing machine I'll be set! :)

Hello Sophie thanks for popping by - always nice to meet new bloggers.

Sounds like your mum is wonderful- my mum has always liked to help. She's 80 now & on Sunday we are collecting her to come over for the classical part of our village music festival. The night before we will have danced to local bands on the village green - but Sunday is very classic with a cream tea too !
