I don't know where this is or what dyes or even what fibres but Mum took this picture especially for me somewhere in Peru? South America.

Ooh the colours are lovely! No matter how long I've been dyeing my own threads and fabrics these sorts of pictures get me in everytime.The photo of the purple corn is just calling out to be stitched don't you think.

Sophie, this was in the Sacred Valley, near Cusco. All of the colours were done in the traditional ways using natural materials. Glad you like it, we thought about you at the time.

Wow! Peru - I have always wanted to go there. Fabulous textiles. Lucky Mum - if I was there I would come back with barrel loads of stuff...and maybe the odd alpaca or two! Glad you are settling into your new place. Enjoy it!
