Thanks Arlee for this pattern. It's the "Sophie Bag" (named after me!) and is great fun to make (only took me a couple of hours this evening).

OMG you're fast Girl! I love it when i discover others who just go hell bent for leather on a new project too!! And yes, the ruffle *is* supposed to stand up. Awesome job--i love your colour choice---pretty doesn't have to mean pastels or posies--very "Soph"isticated! LOl
It was a nice change to do start and finish something in one night. The fabric was some curtaining/upholstery that a friend gave to me last week and it just seemed perfect!!
B was even impressed with it - and is a nice easy project for Christmas pressies!!
Can't wait to try the next one!
The bag did turn out beautifully . . . and actually I agree, it looks good with the ruffle standing up!
