My stitched sketch - a pair of dangling feet I found in a magazine 

As promised here is the finished stitched sketch that I did last week. I spent another 15 minutes on it whilst at the beach with B. Obviously it's not a resolved piece of work but I am really pleased with the result. I have since found a few more images that I would like to try.

We have also been drawing faces at TAFE and would like to give that a go in hand stitch as well. That may take a bit longer as we are working on tonal studies, however I think that hand stitching would be a great way of creating tone (and a good challenge too). The other thing I'd like to try is eyes in stitch - I have seen some good images that lend themselves to this really well.
