I th...*never can have too many sewing machines!!!*

I think this makes 6!!!!!!!!!

I must clarify that one is a hand crank that I bought 'cause it looked great (actually I conned my brother into buying it for me at a market). Then there's my Janome which really doesn't like free-machining and keeps breaking threads and doesn't drop the feed-dogs. Next is the one that I bought 3 years ago primarly for free machining and is an old Myer Victor. One of those really heavy things that is no good to cart to workshops. THen there's another one similar that I bought at a garage sale for $8 (missing a few bits but goes OK), and my Nans old Elna that Mum brought down last week (haven't had a chance to look at it but it drops the feed-dogs)

And with all those machines I still had to borrow one from a friend for the majority of last year cause none of them really cut it with free machining (although the Janome did come through in the end when the borrowed one played up)...

So - can't wait to have a play with the new one to see how it behaves. Now where will I put it?... Oh well - it's time to move out of this little flat anyway!Sophiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16082887795615183154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7034497.post-1102437431895096022004-12-08T03:37:00.000+11:002004-12-08T03:37:00.000+11:00Lucky girl!! And a girl can never have too many sewing machines---i have 4 and a serger, and each one does different things and works for different projects. I still have my eye on one of those wonderful new ones as well....arleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14036114069539254266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7034497.post-1102427769975570452004-12-08T00:56:00.000+11:002004-12-08T00:56:00.000+11:00A new sewing machine. It actually came from a school that was selling their sewing machines from the home economics department. It is a solid machine, all metal and has worked wonderful but it doesn't have any of the fancy buttons that todays machines have.Marsha Loftishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05031737126950792447noreply@blogger.com
